Understanding Portals Data Syncing

Addresses potential questions about Portals data syncing across application views

As the Slingshot Portal continues to evolve, we are syncing data as close to real time as possible.

In this initial version of the Portal, there are a few syncing limitations to be aware of:

Launch Events

Launch Events are updated within 24 hours of the next UK business morning.

The Portal still surfaces news related to launch events and tracks scheduled launches.

However, because this data is confirmed by our dedicated research team, syncing is not yet fully real time in this release.

Anomaly Analytics

Our Agatha processing engine runs daily at midnight UK time.

As a result, anomaly recognition may appear with a delay of up to about one day in some cases.

Alerts

In the Analytics Workspace, alerts depend on both Launch Event data and anomaly detections.

Because of this, there may sometimes be delays between alerts, events, and public news reporting, especially over weekends.

Digital Space Twin

In this release, the Digital Space Twin uses propagated state vector data rather than TLE-based updates. Because of this, some objects may not display the most current orbital data, even when newer information is available from public sources. We plan to incorporate TLE-based updates in future releases to improve data freshness.
